The 3rd volume of a three part set. This volume is primarily concerned with those water colour painters whose practice fell within the Victorian period. It also includes certain painters of an earlier date working in specialised fields such as marine painting and topography who were not included in the previous volume. The jacket has some general marks and rubbing, and there is noticeable damage to the spine and edges. The spine has a water-stain, and the surface colour has peeled off in several places at the top and bottom and down hinges, and also along edges. A bump has caused a hole in the centre of the front hinge; closed tear, approx. 4 cm, to the top of the spine, and partly open tear, approx. 3 cm, at the bottom. Smaller tears, bumps and chips appear along all edges. Front flap clipped but a price label is still present.
