This is a vintage, silver-plated mesh evening bag with snake chain, crystal mounted clasps and silk satin interior. I have seen similar examples online and they are usually dated to around the 1940s. The purse has snake chain handle mounted to the frame. The cross-over clasps have crystals mounded in the top which have been foil backed so that they sparkle with different colours. The interior is padded and lined with a silk satin which has been hand stitched to the frame. There is one small pocket which has become partially unstitched. The purse is in excellent condition with no other damage. The interior is very clean. Purse width 8 inches / 21cm. Height without chain 6 inches / 16cm. PS: The photos have come out a little yellow.
