Tasting Notes In celebration of the maisons 250th anniversary, Veuve Clicquot has released a collectible edition of the iconic Yellow Label Brut in an innovative new Eco Gift Box. This boundary-pushing and plastic-free packaging has been made from hemp and recycled paper. That instantly recognisable yellow glow that we all know and love is still present, but now its completely recyclable and much more environmentally friendly. The history of this famous Champagne house dates back to 1772 when Philippe Clicquot founded a wine-making business under the name Clicquot. In 1810 this was renamed Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin after the young widow Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin inherited the estate. Ever in pursuit of excellence and innovation, Madame Clicquot used her skills to develop an exceptional wine-growing territory and went on to establish what is today one of the most iconic names in Champagne.
