A sequel to "God is in the Attic" this is an autobiographical account of Herbert C. Merry's childhood in Ontario Canada. It is 1918 and the family have just moved house. The family consists of his dad, his mother and their four children, Nig the black dog, one cow, Sparkle the thoroughbred and Queenie the aged pony. The boogie hole of the title refers to 3 rooms in the attic where all the boxes were stored. The "Boogie man " would get Herbert if he didn't behave himself. The Boogie Hole housed all manner of treasures and was fun to hide in and explore. Herbert says" In the happy years after the First World War our attic was a lovely place to go and when we needed something we'd always try the BOOGIE HOLE.
