In March 1994, a gala night of ballet was held in memory of Rudolf Nureyev. Put together for the occasion of the gala, this book comprises numerous, splendid photographs of the whole of Nureyevs career with accounts given by many performers and friends. This copy is signed by three of the guest speakers - Vanessa Redgrave, Stephen Fry, and Nigel Hawthorne. Generally the book is in good condition, but there is a stain to the upper right-hand corner of the front cover. This has also impacted the included programme, but the pages are unaffected. Some bumps and scuffs to corners.
