Designer ceiling light Melt Surface with changing optics The designer Tom Dixon says about his lamp creation Melt that it represents an organically solid, metallic mass when switched off, but when switched on it takes on a hallucinogenic aura that penetrates the viewer. In simple words: Melt is a ceiling light that surprises and enchants with its changing appearance. What looks like a piece of shiny metal when unlit becomes transparent when the light is switched on, reminiscent of molten glass. The British designer Tom Dixon, who has been selling his designs under his own label since 2002, collaborated with the Swedish design collective FRONT for the design of Melt. The creative minds experimented with unusual materials and techniques, such as vacuum metallization, to achieve the visual effects already mentioned. Melt Surface can be used as a ceiling as well as a wall lamp. Energy efficiency class:A++
