Wild Teasel Dipsacus fullonum is a native wildflower commonly found among grassy countryside verges and bordering the margins of fields. This statuesque biennial has tall, spiky stems topped with cones of purple-pink flowers that attract bees and other insects. After the blooms have faded, the stunning seed heads provide birds with a useful food source and also make wonderful autumnal additions to dried flower arrangements.
