Trachelospermum jasminoides, commonly known as Star Jasmine, is not actually part of the jasmine family, although it does have a similar look. This vigorous evergreen climber is the ideal plant for providing a year-round screen of attractive glossy leaves on woody, twining stems. From mid-summer onwards, it bursts into bloom with clusters of pretty star-like flowers which have a delicate, sweet fragrance - perfect for growing next to a seating area where the perfume can be appreciated on warm summer evenings. This easy-to-grow climber has a relatively unfussy nature, thriving in most conditions and putting on a wonderful, effortless display.
