These tall blue flowering plants are great for attracting bees and butterflies. They have long wiry stems which are ideal for indoor flower arrangements. Perfect for cottage gardens and for planting in large drifts. Pot up Scabious plants using free-draining compost and grow scabious on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. Once they are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planning them outdoors. Choose a sunny position on fertile, well drained, neutral to alkaline soil that is not excessively wet in winter. Water Scabious plants until fully established.
