Sanvitalia Procumbens Orange Sprite is a summer flowering half hardy annual which will produce an abundance of double orange flowers with dark centres which resemble mini sunflowers! The perfect plant for garden borders, patio containers, hanging baskets and window boxes. Sowing Time: February to April. Sow onto moist compost, and lightly cover seed with vermiculite. Place into a propagator at 18-20C (65-70F).Germination takes 14-21 days. Sowing Depth: 1.5mm (1/16in). After sowing, keep moist, but not waterlogged until seedlings appear. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 3in (7.5cm) pots. Grow on in glasshouse at 60F (15C). Gradually harden off plants and plant out when all risk of frost has passed.
