Petunia 'Double Cascade Burgundy Plum Vein' produces large, double burgundy blooms with plum coloured veins. Has a delightful cascading habit, making an ideal basket or container plant. The pleated powder-puff blooms are often more than 10cm across, providing a real focal point in the garden. Use our specially formulated petunia fertiliser to get them off to a flying start and encourage strong growth through the summer. Germinate at 20-30C (68-86F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Apply a fine sprinkling of vermiculite, but do not cover the seed completely. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination. Transplant seedlings, when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting out. Plant outside after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart, or grow on in 7.5cm (3in) pots indoor
