Pea ‘Pacco’ produces an excellent yield of sweet-tasting, nutritious tender peas which are just as good raw as they are cooked. Pick regularly and you can enjoy a generous crop of peas all summer long, each pod generously offering up to 10 peas. This high-yielding, reliable cropper has good resistance to powdery mildew. Easy to grow and quick to crop, peas like ‘Pacco’ are a great choice for getting children interested in growing their own. Direct sow peas outdoors every 10 days from March to July, once the soil as warmed, for successive crops. Choose a weed-free position on moist, fertile, well drained soil in full sun. Sow pea seed in flat bottomed drills at a distance of 5cm (2”) apart, and 4cm (1 1/2”) deep. Allow a distance of 60cm (24”) between rows.
