Passion flowers boast outrageously exotic looks but are surprisingly vigorous and easy to grow if given a warm and sheltered wall. ‘Purple Haze’ will quickly cover a south or west-facing wall with glossy, deeply-lobed semi-evergreen leaves. This distinctive variety bears large white blooms with contrasting vibrant purple filaments. The fabulous flowers are followed by inedible, egg-shaped orange fruits. This passion flower is great for growing a sheltered position, such as in a sunny patio or courtyard, where it will flower long and hard from mid-summer to autumn. This vivacious variety holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit for its garden performance. Maximum height and spread: 400cm (157in). Plant Passion flowers into any moist, well-drained soil. Choose a sunny position that is protected from cold winds in winter.
