Oxalis Hirta Gotherburg is a half hardy sorrel originating from south Africa. This showy variety has small grey-green leaves and large well defined bright pink flowers that appear in the autumn. The foliage of this variety can be completely covered by its funnel shaped flowers. This variety is best grown in the greenhouse or on a warm windowsill indoors in all but very mildest parts of the UK. This Oxalis is perfect for adding a splash of colour just as the rest of the garden is fading. Height and Spread: 20cm (8”). Outdoors, grow oxalis plants in containers or in sheltered rockeries and borders. In frost prone areas it is best grown as a houseplant on a bright windowsill or in a conservatory or greenhouse. Plant Oxalis corms at a depth of 3cm (1”) in well drained, rich fertile soil, or for indoor cultivation, in a loam-based compost such as John Innes No.2. Position in full sun or light shade. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it. Oxali
