Spread: 10cm Supplied as 200 seeds Sow this onion variety outdoors in the spring with well-drained soil and position in full sun. Sow thinly at a depth of 1cm and 30cm apart. Use well rotten garden compost to keep the soil fertile. Thin out onion seedlings to 10cm if the plant is too large to handle. Once the onions have germinated, grow the onions in a cool location until the frost has cleared to plant outside. Water onions regularly, especially in the dry and hot periods. Harvest the crop from July onwards or wait until the leaves start to turn yellow. Leave them on the soil surface for a day or two until they have fully dried in the sun.
