These stunning orange anemone like flowers will flower earlier than other varieties, giving a longer display in your garden throughout the summer months. With exceptional garden performance, these luxuriant plants are also suitable for salads, sandwiches and seafood dishes. Sow seed on the surface of good free draining, seed sowing compost. Cover seeds with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite or seed sowing compost. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a plastic bag and place at 20-30C (68-86F) until after germination which takes 7-21 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 15-20cm (6-8in) apart.
