Some Oriental lilies are too tall for patio pots, so need staking and support. Not with the ‘Perfume Garden Series’. The stems are short and stout, yet still long enough for cutting if you prefer. This new series of easy grow lilies offers wide colour range, with every shade of pink, red and white, some with spots, some with stripes. Lily ‘Perfume Garden Series’ is easy to grow, making them perfect for beginners and those with little time to tend to their plants. Oriental lilies prefer a moist, free draining, neutral to acid soil that is rich in organic matter. Prior to planting, add plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the soil to give your lilies the best start. When growing lilies in containers, use a loam based compost such as John Innes No.2. Lily bulbs should be planted at a depth of approximately 3 times their own height and 15cm (6") apart.
