French Lavender produces slightly larger heads than its English cousin! This plant has rounded deep plum flower-heads that have long protruding violet-purple petals at the top. The light green foliage provides a stunning contrast to this lovely flower, and as with all lavenders, has a wonderfully strong fragrance, which will encourage all types of pollinating insects to your garden. It can be grown in garden borders, as well as pots and containers. Also, it can be used as a fragrant low hedge alternative next to a pathway or garden edge. French Lavender likes to be planted in the full sun in well-drained soil, ideally in a sheltered position.
