We have decided to bring together some of our favourite hyacinth plants at Thompson & Morgan to offer a truly brilliant collection of hardy spring flowering bulbs. Watch these plants make a brilliant long-term garden impact as they return year after year to fill your garden with well-dressed blooms and a brilliant fragrance. Grow hyacinths in moist, fertile well-drained soil in sun or semi shade. Plant hyacinth bulbs approximately 10cm (4") deep and at a distance of 8cm (3") apart. Alternatively, to grow hyacinths for indoor displays plant them in containers of bulb fibre or potting compost with the tip of the bulb just visible above the soil surface. Position them in a cool garage or other well ventilated, dark position for around 6 weeks while only watering the bulbs to keep the soil moist.
