There’s nothing like growing your own Horseradish to go alongside your Sunday roast! These roots will reward you with vigorous growth and increasing yields year after year, so you will always have a supply! Horseradish establishes quickly and are easy to grow with very little aftercare required. Best grown in a pot or container due to their possibly invasive nature.Grow horseradish in any fertile, well drained soil in full sun. Plant horseradish roots (thongs) in spring or autumn at a depth of 30cm (12") and at a 45° angle. Cover with soil and water well after planting. Alternatively grow horseradish in large containers to restrict its vigorous growth. Use a good quality compost such as John Innes No. 2 and position in full sun.Horseradish requires little attention but will appreciate watering during particularly dry periods.
