Hollyhock 'Chater's Double Apricot’ is a stunning hardy perennial that will give your garden everything it needs in the summer, glorious apricot frilly blooms! This wonderfully delicate hollyhock will produce large double headed blooms that will gracefully glow under the summer sun from July to August upon a tall green stem! This glorious variety is also edible! Sow on the surface of a good seed compost in late spring/early summer. Make sure the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usu-ally takes 12-21 days at 15-21C (65-75F). Do not exclude light which is beneficial to germination. They can also be sown in mid summer in shallow drills, overwintered in a coldframe and planted out in spring 60cm (24in) apart.
