Rowan, also known as Mountain Ash, is often seen growing as a small free-standing tree, but it also makes a fantastic hedge too. A dense covering of lush green foliage provides a good screen for privacy throughout most of the year, before turning to beautiful fiery shades of orange, pink and red in autumn. Adding to the seasonal interest is a profusion of white blossom which bees love during spring, followed by heavy clusters of bright red berries later in the year. This fast growing variety is happy to be pruned, and once you’ve got it to the shape and size required it can be easily clipped to shape. Low maintenance and easy to grow, this reliable variety will thrive in most gardens. Supplied as 60 - 80 cm bareroots. Planting Distance: 45cm (18") or 3 plants per metre for a single line hedge.
