Potato summer ‘Maris Peer’ are perfect for producing delicious new potatoes in autumn all the way through to Christmas. A popular variety for restaurants and gardeners, producing firm creamy yellow fleshed tubers that retain their colour. This Christmas cropping variety has the most attractive, slightly scented purple flowers. This is an excellent choice for producing out of season. These tubers are held back by growers under cold conditions until late summer so that you can plant them later in the season. They need to be kept frost free, so they make excellent crops for growing in bags in the greenhouse or in sheltered veggie plots. Height and Spread: 60cm (24”) Second cropping potatoes do not require 'chitting' and should be planted as soon as they are received.
