Easy to grow and reliable gooseberry bushes are extremely rewarding, producing heavy crops each summer. Gooseberry ‘Hinnonmaki Yellow’ produces an abundant crop of beautiful golden fruit. Their exceptionally sweet flavour has a slight hint of apricot which is partly what makes it stand out among other varieties. The lovely, juicy berries are delicious eaten fresh and can also be cooked, making a lovely jam or as an addition to a dessert or crumble. Cropping from June to mid-July, they’re a great way to start the fruit season, each bush capable of producing over 3kg of berries.
