Daucus carota 'Dara' will make a unique addition to your borders, a true ornamental wild carrot. Produces delicate blooms that appear throughout the summer and into autumn, predominantly in shades of pink and burgundy, with the occasional white flower that is normally attributed to the traditional carrot varieties. A great addition to cottage and wildlife gardens. Direct sow Ornamental Carrot seed outdoors where they are to grow from August to September, or in Spring from February to April. Choose a weed free position in full sun on reliably moist, well drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow carrot seeds thinly at a depth of 1cm (1/2"). Germination will take 10 to 20 days. When large enough to handle, thin out the seedlings to 10cm (4in) apart. Water regularly particularly during dry periods until Ornamental Carrot plants are well established. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes. Product Specifications: Position in: full sun Height: Up to 80cm Spread: Up to 40cm Supplied
