Cyclamen Hederifolium are strong little tubers that send up there delicate pink flowers in the depths of winter. Emerging after the flowers in the following spring the heart-shaped deep green leaves are patterned with silver, creating a striking marbled effect making the perfect carpet of ground cover. Perfect for planting in rockeries, woodland areas and at the base of deciduous trees and shrubs. The foliage remains throughout the spring before disappearing below ground for a dormant summer period. Height: 10cm (4”). Spread: 15cm (6”). Grow Cyclamen in a well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter, in partial or dappled shade. Work some organic matter such as well-rotted manure or compost into the soil prior to planting. Cyclamen grow best in the dappled shade of trees and shrubs, which helps avoid excessive summer moisture.
