Rose ‘Wedding Day’ is an excellent choice for a show stopping summer display but needs lots of space to reach its full potential. Exquisitely fragrant, the yellow buds of ‘Wedding Day’ open to primrose flowers, which quickly fade to white, complemented by glossy green foliage. This appealing rambling rose is a vigorous climber, scaling trees and garden structures with ease. Companion planting: try growing roses with garlic, chives, thyme or mint to help deter aphids and blackfly. Bare root roses will arrive trimmed back, ready for the new season, they will exhibit little signs of growth on arrival with possibly some buds in view. The bare roots should be planted as soon as possible in the ground as long as the soil is not frozen or waterlogged, if this is the case, do not allow the roots to dry out, place in a large container and cover with damp compost, or wrap the roots in damp cloth.
