Clematis ‘Sally’ puts on a continuous show of large pink flowers during the summer months in a beautiful soft shade of pink. Unlike many other pink-flowered Clematis, this one doesn’t fade in the sun, in most cases the colour becomes even rosier! A lush and bushy backing of mid-green foliage sets the flowers off really well, helping to screen fences and walls or add a little extra privacy on a trellis. Being fairly compact in size, this variety is a great choice for obelisks in borders or patio containers too as well as for growing among rose bushes. Feed and water frequently throughout the growing season. This variety of clematis flowers in late summer on the current year’s growth. Pruning should be undertaken in spring before active growth begins. When pruning group 3 Clematis, cut back all of the previous year’s stems to a pair of healthy buds at around 20cm (8") above ground level.
