Surprisingly easy to grow, Cigar Plants add an exotic feeling to your home. The curiously shaped flowers of Cuphea ignea bring to mind the fiery glow and shape of tiny cigars, making an eye-catching houseplant. These neat little evergreen perennials make a lovely pot plant for a bright, sunny windowsill, conservatory or greenhouse. In summer, move plants outside as a patio table centrepieces!! Height and spread: 40cm (16"). Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, taking care not to damage the fragile roots, into 9cm (4") pots. When roots have filled these pots, set into final containers. Grow on in a sunny or semi-shaded position. Feed and water Cuphea plants regularly throughout the growing season. Move plants to a warm indoor position by the end of summer, for overwintering in warm frost-free conditions. Please note: some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested. If you believe your pet has consumed a poisonous plant then seek veterinary attention immediately. T
