The Chlorophytum “Starlight” grows in dense clumps of slender, variegated straight leaves which fall over gracefully at the top like a grass. This perennial is specifically for your outdoors garden and is hardy up to -5C (41f), ideally in a sheltered area. In the Summer, it will produce lots of tiny white-star shaped flowers at the end of long stems. It will look very attractive in a patio container or in mixed borders, providing a sophisticated contemporary aesthetic. The Starlight likes to grow in moist, fertilise, well-drained soil, and thrives in full sun, semi shade or even dappled shade. If growing in pots, during the winter you should move to a dry sheltered area or cold greenhouse as it doesn’t like to be overly wet.
