Enjoy a vibrant splash of colour in your garden in early spring with Chaenomeles superba ‘Clementine’. Its bright orange-red flowers cover the bare branches during March and April before a dense cpvering of glossy green foliage takes over. Once established, towards autumn this Japanese Flowering Quince produces yellow fruits which can be picked and used to make tasty jellies and preserves which are delicious with cheese. With a neat, compact habit and rounded shape, this strong, free-standing shrub is ideal for growing against a wall or included as part of a mixed border planting scheme where it will provide low-maintenance structural interest throughout the year. Plant Japanese Quince into moist, but well-drained soil in full sun or dappled shade. Chaenomeles plants are very low maintenance; and will only need a light prune after flowering each year. Position: Full Sun/Partial Shade Height: Up to 1.5m when fully established Spread: Up to 1.5m when fully established Supplied
