Celeriac Mars produces large uniform roots from upright plants that hold themselves well in the soil. This variety is has good resistance to celery leaf spot. This celeriac produces creamy-white flesh that remains firm despite the large size of the roots. Celery is perfect for making homemade coleslaw, simply grate and enjoy the crunchy texture and subtle celery- like taste. this variety is ready to harvest from October to November but stores well and can also be left in the ground over winter if covered with a 15cm layer of straw for protection. Height:30cm (12”). Spread:40cm (16”).Sow seeds from February to April 3mm (1/8in) deep in a good seed compost. Germination takes 21-25 days at 20-25C (70-75F).
