This new variety is known for its well-branching and compact habit which provides more red-pink flowers. It is excellent in colder weathers that can reach down to -12C. This exotic looking shrub with its arching branches would look gorgeous as a bushy shrub or trained up a trellis. This evergreen foliage provides a highly aromatic emitting a lemon scent when crushed. Plant Callistemon in a sheltered position in moist, well drained, non-alkaline soil in full sun. This callistemon is suitable for growing outdoors in mild areas and coastal gardens and is hardy down to 5°C (41°F). In colder gardens, it is best grown in a cool conservatory or planted in a patio container that can be moved to a warm position over winter. Lightly prune bottlebrush shrubs in autumn after flowering. Reduce the stems to fit the available space, and remove any damaged, crossing or wayward stems. If necessary, callistemon plants will tolerate occasional hard regenerative pruning. Deadhead faded bottlebrush flowers
