Giant fronds up to 70cm (28”) tall are produced by this relative of our native Deer Fern, providing an exotic feel in your home or garden. The young fronds are coloured in fantastic volcanic bronze shades as they first unfurl, before transforming into a wonderful shiny green hue as they open. This dwarf fern thrives in low light levels and is hardy enough for most UK gardens as it tolerates temperatures down to -5C (23F), although it does benefit from a sheltered spot with some winter protection.
