Grow your own delicious organic dessert apples in the garden with Apple ‘Sunset’! This variety holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit for its garden performance and is similar to 'Cox' but easier to grow. Trees are disease resistant with a compact habit, making them easier to maintain and with far better yields. Apples have skins with the typical red-stripes and an orange flush associated with English dessert apples, with a sharp and intense flavour. Harvest your apples in late September – eat them fresh from the tree, press for a delicious juice or store them until December. Apple rootstock: M26 – dwarf reaching a mature height of 2.5-3m (8-10').Pollination Group 3 - Eating Apple. This variety is partially self-fertile. For the heaviest crops it is best grown with another variety. If you only have room for one tree then make sure that a neighbour has a tree close by that can act as a suitable pollinator.
