Grow your own apples in the garden! Delicious eating apple ‘Lord Lambourne’ was introduced in 1907 and is an old favourite that is well regarded for its reliability, holding an RHS Award of Garden Merit and still holding its own against newer varieties. Trees produce uniform, orange-green fruits streaked with red with a sweet and aromatic flavour with a hint of strawberry. Apples are somewhat reminiscent of the later ripening varieties, with a crisp, juicy flesh. Reliable and scab resistant, pick these dessert apples mid-September and store until November.Apple rootstock: M26 - Dwarf reaching a mature height of 2.5-3m (8-10').Estimated time to cropping once planted: 2 years.Estimated time to best yields: 5 years.Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size.
