Perfect for dotting through herbaceous borders, you’ll adore Allium ‘Blue Drumstick’ for its bright blue globes of starry flowers! The fabulous flowerheads often appear after the foliage has died back, so mingle these bulbs among other perennials for a fuller effect. The bold blooms are carried on stiff upright stems in early summer and will punctuate sunny borders with pops of colour and makes a great cut flower for the home. Allium caeruleum is easy to grow and low maintenance - ideal for cottage and wildlife gardens. When buying bulbs, quality is everything. T&M always supply flowering-size bulbs, which means you'll grow bigger, better flowers and there'll be more of them. Alliums thrive in light sandy, well-drained soil in full sun. Avoid planting in cold wet soils as the bulbs are prone to rot in these conditions. Plant allium bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4") and a distance of 10cm (4") apart. A slow-release fertilizer can be added to poor soils at the time of planting
