A stunning free flowering variety that forms masses of deep blue flowers, each with a purple stripe from June through until August. A perfect variety for the middle of borders with its height of 90cm. Plant in clumps for the best display, watching the blooms rise above sturdy stems. Also a perfect variety for cut flowers for stunning indoor display. Grow Agapanthus plants in rich fertile, well-drained soil, in a sunny position. When growing Agapanthus in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3. Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring
