Commonly known as a Houseleek, this tender evergreen house plant is a wonderful architectural addition to the home. Aeonium Arboreum produces smooth, fleshy green and deep purple, almost black, foliage with rounded tips atop a sturdy stem, bringing height, texture and a tropical feel to the home. Its rich colour really stands out when grown in terracotta pots, or alongside lighter coloured succulents - perfect for creating a varied, eye-catching succulent display in your home. This tender house plant should be grown indoors in a conservatory or heated greenhouse in a sunny and sheltered position. Grow in well-drained soil or loam-based potting compost. As with all succulents, water sparingly as they have fleshy leaves that allow them to retain moisture and cope with dry conditions. However, avoid watering between late autumn and spring while plants are dormant. Please note: Some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested.
