The sweet-scented foliage and flat flower heads of the Achillea variety are perfect for creating your own cottage garden schemes or adding to fresh cut flowers. Culinary note: The leaves of the yarrow can be used cooked or raw. They have a bitter flavour but are good in mixed salads and best used when young.
