Fourth volume of the works of poet and satirist Alexander Pope, published during his lifetime; this 1736 edition contains his mock-heroic poem the 'Dunciad', with the 'Prolegomena of Scriblerus' and 'Notes Variorum'. Condition: Leather boards shelfworn, very rubbed, marked, scuffed, cup-ring mark to front, front and back board hinges cracking. Pages are tanned and notably marked, but this should not affect readability; the binding holds.
