Two Ward Lock 1960's thrillers sold as one lot. Geoffrey Peters was a pseudonym of the Australian-born author Madelyn Palmer who was born in 1910. These books feature Inspector Trevor Nicholls. "The Whirl of Bird" (1965) - A helicopter nicknamed Whirlybird is at the disposal of Detective-Inspector Trevor Nichols and his team of the Criminal Investigation Bureau of Sydney, Australia. With it, they can be quickly on the scene of a crime before any clues are obliterated. But what happens when thick snow blankets the ground? On Mount Kosciusko, a premier ski resort, one of the instructors is found dead in the snow - murdered. Soon Inspector Nichols' brain resembles the rotor of the helicopter... This scarce first edition is in Fair condition. The printed board cover and spine have signs of shelf-wear and bumping to the edges; the bottom 5mm of the spine cover is absent. No dust jacket is present, but what appear to be section of it (the books synopsis) has been pasted in to the inside
