First edition. 1968. 171pp. Hardback, with dust jacket, in Fair to Good condition overall for its near 60 years (Good Condition in that the book and jacket are both complete, and protected by brown paper and plastic wrapping ; titling is in white and black on the front and spine and the front has a photo of the author on his boat at sea ; the back cover, in white, has eight revealing quotes from his log. Finally, though, the condition has to be Fair because : the covers are now somewhat grubby, with wear marks and small creases ; the pages are lightly tanned ; there are some stains on some pages and on the end pages ; brown discolouration on the top, bottom and fore edges ; two triangular sellotape repairs on p.125 ; and at one time a library book from Kingston Upon Thames Public Libraries, with a ticket pocket on the front end paper A rare find.
