Fifth edition 1825. Volume IV of the four volume set. Half bound with brown calf spine and corners, blue marbled paper covered boards. Gilt title on a black panel on the spine. The spine has surface rubbing with chipping at the top and base plus cracking along the front hinge line. The corners are rubbed exposing the underlying card at the tips. The boards have some surface rubbing to the marbled paper and the front board is darkened. The hinges are cracked after the first/last free endpaper. Light tanning to the endpapers and some foxing and light tanning through the text block. No inscriptions and tight binding to the text block. Volume IV of this romantic, suspenseful novel of Scotland's 14th-century heroes, Sir William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. First published in 1809.
