This hardback first edition published by Cassell in 1931 is in a fair condition overall. There is no dustjacket. The blue-cloth covered boards are gilt-stamped on the spine. They are worn and bumped, particularly on the corners. The spine is fraying and coming away along the join with the back board. Some pages are foxed and tanned, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. There is a previous owner's name to front free endpaper. However, the pages are clean and intact, and the binding is holding. Please note that this is a heavy volume so it will incur increased postage charges.
