Tasting Notes Harvey Nichols is proud to introduce a new wine from the team at Château Lafite Rothschild. When thinking about Château Lafite, most people are drawn to the hill of Lafite obviously. But the estate also has four other terroirs in its arsenal: Plateau des Carruades, Le Caillava (next to Cos dEstournel in Saint-Estèphe), Bel Air (just south of Duhart-Milon) and Anseillan. The latter is on the eastern side of the estate, across the road from the château towards the river. The grapes from this plot are being used to dramatic effect in Carruades de Lafite. But now theyve also been given the opportunity to shine in their very own expression. Anseillan Pauillac provides an opportunity to explore one of Chateau Lafites lesser-known plots. Anseillan was created by Domaine Barons de Rothschild.
