This book is primarily, as its title denotes, a 'picture book'. The pictures have been taken from many sources; the magazines which Lewis Carroll edited for his brothers and sisters at Croft Rectory have furnished a considerable number; the innumerable photographs which he took in his studio at Christ Church have also been laid under contribution, and in addition to these two main sources to which I am principally indebted, I have collected from all quarters illustrations bearing upon the life and work of the author of 'Alice." This book features no dustjacket and some fading along the spine.
