The celebrated novel by Liam O'Flaherty first published in 1925 by Jonathan Cape. This hardback copy is the 1932 reprint by the same publisher in their "Florin Books" series which were "economy" versions of their more upmarket hardback editions. The Florins were issued in buff cloth boards with no dust jackets. To meet the challenge of Allen Lane and his arriving cheap Penguin paperbacks perhaps? "The Informer" was famously filmed by John Ford and starred Victor Mclaglen as Gypo - the informer. This copy of the book is solid and square and clean and bright internally. The covers are worn with with some staining. Dust to the top edge of the text block. See the attached five images which will give a good impression of the book's condition. Good condition overall for its ninety plus years.
