This is a huge Rhine River themed 1923 color photo portfolio. The outer cloth covered cardboard foldout cover is in Good condition. However the bottom edge is missing , the cloth cover is torn and discoloured. However the contents including all prints are in Very Good condition for their age. It comes with a 15 page text and photo description book and 40 mounted authentic lithographed color prints. Among the pictures are the Cathedral of Cologne, Limburg and Mainz; Wiesbaden, several Castles, Churches, Trier, Limburg, Bonn, Essen, Dusseldorf, Aachen, Cleve and others .... Many panoramic skyline views as well. Each print is hand-tipped onto heavy black cardstock. The whole print is covered by a tipped-on tissue guard. Each print is outlined by a black, fine-lined border, extending one-quarter inch beyond the print. Beneath the border, also in black, is the title or description of the picture.
