This book, memoir number 9 of the Cyprus Geological Survey Department, presents the results of a comprehensive, integrated geological study involving detailed mapping, geochemistry, petrography and structural analysis. As such it is unique in being the product of cooperative research between the Geological Survey Department and the Department Of Earth Sciences of the Open University, England, and in being the first study of a reasonably large area of the country to be published since 1968, when it was initially suggested that the Troodos ophiolite formed as a cretaceous ocean spreading centre. (From the preface.) Extensively illustrated with photos, diagrams, graphs and tables. Very good condition hardback with dust jacket. Green leather style boards with pale green titles to front and spine. Lightly used. Clean and undamaged internally and externally. Binding tight. Dust jacket in matching condition.
